Article DetailsArticle Using External Audio with Muse Biofeedback With the External Audio feature (formerly known as Biofeedback+), you can overlay Muse real-time biofeedback with your favourite music apps, meditation, or other external content. After your session, the Muse app provides you with post-session data biofeedback session. Our External Audio feature can also be used with Muse sleep sessions.External Audio is only available with a Premium Subscription. Starting an External Audio sessionStarting an External Audio session with any Muse biofeedback experienceSleep Tracking Only with External AudioSaving an External Audio session Starting an External Audio Session Open the Muse App and sign in to your Muse account. Tap the Train tor Sleep tab. Scroll down and tap External Audio. Tap your preferred soundscape or Tracking Only (for no biofeedback audio). Sleep external audio is designed for no audio only. Follow the instructions for your selected External Audio experience to begin! Note that the 30 minute timer under External Audio soundscapes (including Tracking Only) refers to the audio content only. Muse will continue tracking your session until you choose to end your session. Starting an External Audio Session with any Muse biofeedback experience Open the Muse App and sign in to your Muse account. Tap the Train tab. Tap Mind, Heart, Body, or Breath. Tap your preferred soundscape to overlay it with your own content. We recommend Just Birds for External Audio. Tap Start Session and complete the sensor quality check and calibration. Once calibration completes, pause the session. Open the external app to play your content. Return to the Muse app and resume your session. Done! Your Muse will now continue tracking while listening to your external audio! Sleep Tracking Only with External Audio Originally designed for external audio playback, this feature can also be used to track your sleep silently. Tap the Train tor Sleep tab. Scroll down and tap Use External Audio. Muse will continue tracking your sleep until you wake and end your session. Saving an External Audio Session To save or pin an External Audio session to your Today screen for quick and easy access: Find and open External Audio from the Train tab. Under the description, tap the Pin button to pin it to your Today screen. Done! It will now be pinned to the top of the Today screen, ready for the next time you open the Muse app! When you pin Muse biofeedback experiences (Training or Sleep), the Today screen shows the last completed session type (for example - Tracking Only) so you can quickly return to your favourites.To remove or unpin External Audio from the Today screen: Find your External Audio biofeedback experience. Tap the arrow or the Continue button to go to the External Audio screen. Under the description, tap the Unpin button to remove it from your Today screen.
