Starting a Sleep Session With Sleep Assist To start a Muse sleep session with sleep assist, connect your Muse S by Bluetooth through the Muse app. Go to the Sleep tab and tap Start Sleep Session. After the sensor check, toggle on Sleep Assist. Tap the > icon to download and choose your content. Customize your Sleep Assist settings. The Muse app will remember for next time! Done! If you’re new to Sleep Assist, before starting your sleep session, we recommend reviewing the Intro to Sleep Assist program, which explains how it works and what to expect. Customizing Sleep Assist When you enable Sleep Assist, and select your content, you can access special controls to customize the audio and smart fade technology. Go-back-to-sleep - enables the all-night function. The content will resume if you wake in the night. Fade-Out Speed - adjusts how long it takes for the Sleep Assist to reduce the volume to silence when you begin to fall asleep. Fade-In Speed - adjusts how long it takes for the Sleep Assist to increase the volume to full as you wake. Simulate Sleep - lets you test the fade-in and fade-out speeds before returning to your session. Turn ON to experience the audio fading out at the speed you have set. Turn OFF to experience the audio fading in at the speed you have set. Remember to turn off Simulate Sleep before leaving the settings for your session to work properly. 💡Important: your settings will be saved for the specific audio content you’ve selected. If you choose different Sleep Assist content, remember to customize your settings for the new content. Sleep Assist FAQs Is my Muse compatible with Sleep Assist?Sleep Assist is compatible with all Muse S headbands including Athena.Can I combine Sleep Assist with other Muse sleep experiences?Yes! No, but the Muse app will remember your settings for the selected sleep content, so you'll be ready to go for your next session. Can I play my own content with Sleep Assist?Yes, you can play your own content while Sleep Assist is enabled, but the Sleep Assist algorithm will only fade-in/fade-out the Sleep Assist content specifically.
