What OS is the SDK compatible with? The Muse SDK is compatible with Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android operating systems. What's included with the SDK? The Muse SDK is a complete software suite to develop applications for use with the Muse headband. Muse Library - allows your app to gain access to signals from the sensors on the Muse headband (EEG, PPG, accelerometer, etc.) along with a few processed signals as identified in the SDK documentation. However, the SDK does not provide access to the more advanced processed signals used by the Muse mobile app, such as the calm score or sleep staging. Muse Lab - a standalone desktop application with which you can stream and visualize the data from a Muse headband. Tutorials for saving and reading data in the .muse file format, simulating playback and managing log messages. How is commercial vs non-commercial use defined? The SDK is provided under a commercial or non-commercial use license, allowing you to develop applications for use with the Muse headband. Non-commercial use: personal exploration, academic coursework, hackathons, art or music projects, etc. Commercial use: any project with current or future monetization, revenue, or company affiliation. If you start in non-commercial and later commercialize, you must inform Muse (SDKpartners@choosemuse.com) and obtain a commercial license. Certification language applies to both categories. How can I apply for the SDK? If you are an experienced developer, you can apply for SDK access.
