Starting a Timed MeditationSaving Timed MeditationsTimed session data and cultivating a regular practice Starting a Timed Meditation To find and start a Timed Meditation: Open your Muse app and sign in to your Muse account. Tap the Train tab. Tap Nature Soundscapes under the the Music section of the Train tab. Tap one of the soundscapes to download or play the content. Select a session duration and tap the Start Session button. Saving Timed Meditations To save or pin Timed Meditations to your Today screen for quick and easy access: Find and open Nature Soundscapes from the Music section of the Train tab. Under the description, tap the Pin button to pin it to your Today screen. Done! It will now be pinned to the top of the Today screen, ready for the next time you open the Muse app! When you pin Muse biofeedback experiences (Training or Sleep), the Today screen shows the last completed session type (for example - Campfire) so you can quickly return to your favourites.To remove or unpin Timed Meditations from the Today screen: Find the Nature Soundscapes experience you want to remove. Tap the arrow or the Continue button to go to the Nature Soundscapes screen. Under the description, tap the Unpin button to remove it from your Today screen. Timed session data and cultivating a regular practice During a Timed Meditation experience, you’ll hear a light, relaxing soundscape and occasional guidance. You won’t receive moment-to-moment feedback or birds, but your minutes, streaks, goals, and challenges will still count toward your overall session count. Cultivating a regular practice Mindfulness can sometimes be thought of as looking a certain way or being done at a certain time. Closer to the truth is that what mindfulness looks like varies widely from culture to culture and even person to person.Recognizing this, there’s no barrier to where and when you can bring sessions into your life, such as: Traveling abroad or on the local train Going for a walk or sitting down to lunch In the moments between or during a busy work day Tracking your progress can be a huge help! Many people find their practice is best served when done regularly, and Timed Meditations allow you to track your practice no matter where you are or how much time you have.
