App Compatibility Requirements

The Muse app is compatible with the following device operating systems:

• Apple iOS 15 and above.

• Android 8 and above.
   

For the best Muse app experience, we recommend updating your device's operating system to the latest available version.

⚠️ *Certain Huawei or Xiaomi devices run on modified Android operating systems. They may not be reliably compatible with the Muse app.
 

Headband Compatibility Requirements

All Muse headbands connect by Bluetooth to your iOS or Android device, requiring a minimum of Bluetooth LE 4.0.
 

Battery Optimization for Android

If you're using Android, make sure that Battery Optimization is off or set to Unrestricted for the Muse app. Turning it off helps prevent the Android OS from shutting down the Muse app to conserve memory.

1. Open your device's Settings app.

2. Tap Apps to open the App list.

3. Find and tap the Muse app

4. Tap App battery usage.

5. Switch Allow background usage to on.
    

Device storage space

• 500-800 MBs (required)

• 2 GBs (recommended)

Overnight sleep sessions can be 400+MBs, so we recommend having at least 2 GBs of storage room on your device.

Unsupported Devices

The Muse app is not compatible with any desktop computers, laptops, Kindle Fire, or any Windows phones.
