Chargers capable of delivering more than 5v (5 volts) are not suitable for charging Muse hardware. The Muse charging cable is a standard micro-USB charging cable. Connecting your Muse to a desktop or laptop won’t provide a reliable charge. Your Muse 2014 should be fully charged in 5 hours. You’ll know it’s charged when the lights are full. A fully-charged Muse should provide several hours of use.If you're not able to charge your Muse 2014, the lithium-ion battery may have depleted. To reach out to Muse Customer Care for help, please fill out the Contact Support form. Sensor Troubleshooting There are different steps you can take to get the best sensor quality with your Muse 2014. Before beginning your trainingAdjust the fit of your MuseApply waterTrain while sitting upright Before beginning your training Wear your Muse for 1-2 minutes before starting your session. The electrical resistance from your skin settles significantly after about two minutes of wearing the Muse. Avoid skin products or make-up while using Muse. Skin products and make-up, and the buildup of natural oils of your skin, can form a barrier that interferes with the sensors. Adjust the fit of your Muse Use the extendable ear pieces to make sure your Muse has a snug fit. Make sure the silicon ear sensors are resting on the skin of your ears (like eyeglasses). Make sure there is no hair between the sensors and your skin. Apply water Use a damp cloth to apply water to your Muse headband's sensors. A small amount of water can significantly improve the initial sensor quality check. Train while sitting upright Train your focused attention while sitting still in a comfortable upright position. The Muse 2014 was designed to be used while sitting still in a comfortable, upright position.Sensor quality won’t be reliable if you’re lying down or moving. Bluetooth Troubleshooting Setup your iOS or Android deviceEnable Bluetooth permissionsConnect Your Muse Setup your iOS or Android device If you are using wireless Bluetooth headphones or AirPods, you should pair the headphones before connecting your Muse by Bluetooth through the Muse app. Charge your Muse for at least 5 hours using a USB wall charger.
