Understanding your Guided Meditation data During a guided meditation, you’ll hear the instructor taking you through the meditation. You won’t hear real-time audio feedback. Instead, the instructor may call on you to focus on different aspects of you or your life, like your breath or body experience, or for you to consider your thoughts or emotions. After your session, you’ll receive session data to see how your brain, heart, and body responded. Guided Meditation graphs After each guided meditation you complete with your Muse 2 or Muse S headband, you’ll see a Mind, Heart, Body, and Brainwave Powerbands graph. If you have an Original Muse, you’ll see a Mind graph only. Each graph has the full data set as you would if you had completed a Mind, Heart, or Body Biofeedback session. Mind - charts your brainwaves and, using Muse's advanced algorithm, displays your session in three areas: active, neutral, and calm. To learn more about the Mind session data, see our Muse Biofeedback Sessions article. Heart - charts your heart rate in beats per minute, along with the average, lowest, and highest heart rate in this session. To learn more about the Heart session data, read our Heart Biofeedback Sessions article. Body - charts your time, either active or still over the duration of your session. To learn more about the Body session data, view our Body Biofeedback Sessions article. Brainwave Powerbands - displays the Alpha, Beta, Theta, Gamma, and Delta waves from your session. For more information, see our Brainwave Powerbands article. If you listened to a guided meditation without your Muse headband, you won't receive biofeedback data, but your minutes, streaks, goals, and challenges will still count toward your overall session count. Guided Meditation stats Another way to understand how your guided meditation had an impact is to look at your stats. These are related and displayed on the Mind session graph only. They can also be accessed in the Stats section of your session data page. Birds: You're awarded birds when you enter the calm state and focus on your breath for an extended period of time. You'll see them on your post-session data graph, but unlike Biofeedback Meditations, you won't hear them in your Guided Meditation session. Recoveries: When you notice your mind wandering (active) and bring your attention back to the meditation (neutral or calm), you're awarded a recovery. Muse Points: You're awarded points for every second spent meditating in the neutral and calm states. You receive 1 point per second in neutral and 3 points per second in calm. Other data You can gain Awards for key milestones. Earned a few birds for the first time? Maybe you’ll get the Birds of Eden Award! If you added notes after your session, you can review your feelings, patterns, and insights in the Journal section of the screen. PropertiesURL NameGuided-MeditationsTitleGuided Meditations
