Muse S wear and tear The Muse S Gen 2 and Gen 1 fabric band will naturally start to show signs of wear-and-tear over time with repeated use. If you're using your Muse S consistently 3-6 times a week over a 3-6 month period, your fabric band may begin to show signs of wear. This is perfectly normal, and the first signs may be seen on the ear electrodes. If this happens to your Muse S headband, this doesn't necessarily mean your Muse will stop working, but if you start to notice any sensor issues, you can reach out to our Customer Care team for support. To reduce wear and tear, see our guide for caring for your Muse. Muse sensor discolouration Muse sensors use conductive gold or silver ink to strengthen and detect brainwaves.Over a longer period, the sensors will naturally oxidize and may discolour. In Muse 2, the sensors may take on a greenish tinge. In Muse S, the beige sensors may darken. This is normal and shouldn't impact the performance of your Muse on its own.Having trouble getting good sensor quality? Tips can be found in our Sensor Quality Troubleshooting article. For a full list of the materials used in the Muse headband and sensors, view our article Comparing Muse Headbands. Muse 2 battery disconnects If your Muse 2 shuts off when you extend the earpiece, the battery may have become disconnected internally. If this sounds like what you're experiencing, contact Customer Care, and we can investigate right away!PropertiesURL NameDiagnosing-a-Damaged-MuseTitleDiagnosing a Damaged Muse
